The Very Best Work at Home
Advertising Resources!

Before you spend another penny on ads - there are some things you NEED to know.

Low Cost Niche Advertising

If your advertising budget is tight, niche advertising is the way to go.

A niche, simply put is a focused sub group of a larger group or market. For example, the large market may be moms, and this group can be broken down into more focused subgroups such as moms of girls, moms of boys, moms from Ohio, moms from the US, moms from Canada, etc.

A niche site would be a site that focuses on one of these subgroups. The reason that niche advertising is the way to go is because niche sites tend to have lower traffic than more general sites (due to the fact that they are targeting a smaller group) and therefore, the cost of advertising is also lower. Also, niche sites tend to have a very loyal population, so the “bang for your buck” so to speak tends to be higher.

With all the niche sites out there, how do you choose what would be a good site for niche advertising? Here are some tips to consider when choosing a good niche advertising site.

First, pick a niche that is relevant to your product or service.
If you are promoting anti-aging products, a site targeting teenage moms may not be the best choice, however, advertising on a niche site for moms over forty may be successful. If you are promoting toddler toys, a niche site on moms of teenagers probably wouldn’t be a good fit.

At the same time, don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Many baby niche sites are great for promoting work at home opportunities, even though the site may be all about taking care of a newborn.

Once you decide on a niche, simply do a web search of that niche and start visiting sites to see if they offer advertising. If you find a site that you think is a great fit, and they don’t currently have advertising on their site, you can e-mail the owner to see if they are interested in any kind of advertising. They may not want banners or buttons on their site, but they may be willing to allow a short message at the beginning of their newsletter or on a specific page of their site.

Check the traffic statistics of the niche site. You can check with Alexa.com to find out a lot of traffic statistics, however, typically, if the site isn’t ranked in the top 100,000 the information you get will be limited. Don’t be afraid to ask the niche site owner for their traffic statistics, most will be more than happy to share their information in the interest of attracting your advertising.

Spend a little time on the website. Visit more than just the home page. You need to see if this is the type of site that you want to be associated with. You will also want to visit to see what type of person they market to and attract to see if they are the type of customer that you are looking for. For instance, if you market high dollar mom jewelry, then you will find a better match of customer at a high dollar niche mom site, than at a frugal mom niche site.

It may take some time to find the best niche websites for your home business advertising, but the time and effort it takes is worth the rewards of a successful niche advertising campaign.
